Model MI-751 arrived and works well with the HP LP2475w Monitor. 4 stars because the 8 screws they say included are actually 4 and are all you need. I didn't use them. I swapped out the screws from the HP base mount for the VESA mount interface.

One caveat: Pop off the side faces with your thumb. They overlap the joints and pull right off. The Allen wrench fits in to adjust how you want it to be mounted.

Word of advice: attach the VESA arm mount interface to the back of your monitor with the loops underneath as mentioned. Swing the arm parallel to the monitor. Take a tape measure to get the cumulative distance of the far edge of the monitor to the end point mount that will meet up with the vertical post. Take that measurement down [it's 24-26" inches] and gove from the outer edge of your desk towards the center that distance. I have dual monitors. My desk is 62" wide. I made sure to give each monitor 3-4" from the left or right edge of the desk. In other words I went from left and right 30". That leaves 2" between main posts brackets mounted on the back. The four inches of slack for these 24" monitors gives some wiggle room. If you have 27-32" monitors adjust accordingly or opt up for a 68-72" width desk.

I just used the double plate vertical post configuration and the Vesa mount to the back. Everything else include was extra for customizations someone else might have need I suppose. Well worth the purchase price of $27 before the Holidays. I definitely recommend it. I plan to buy another one.

Note: The Head Pivot Nut that the provided Socket Wrench tightens will need to be applied above the arm and below/beneath the arm. Why? The Range of motion necessary to completely lock the position into place requires it.

I have a Dell U3011, with a weight of 10 lbs/4.5 kg. This mount can't seem to hold it perpendicular to my desktop.
After tightening the maximum amount with the provided wench, the top of monitor slowly droops forward. The attached picture shows the bubble in the level all the way at the back.
So I got a full size socket wrench and started using that. Even with scary amounts of torque, the tilt joint can't be secured. I now going to try full torque and deal with the fear of breaking something...
Ok, using a plus sized socket wrench, and and more than enough force to break the monitor if the socket slipped, the pivot is no longer drooping. The Nut and Bolt on the pivot are plenty large enough, the fact that it can't be locked in position is a flaw which should be fixed.

I had the same problem others have mentioned: the pivot nearest the monitor wants to droop. Tightening it to the point of keeping it stable required excessive torque. But I think I found a solution.
The problem is that the pivot is designed as a bearing, with a brass washer to allow easy sliding. This would be OK if the monitor was light enough, but a heavy monitor causes the bearing to sag.
My solution: take the pivot apart, removing the through-bolt. There's a steel washer behind the brass shim on each side. Simply flip this around, so the brass is inside, and the steel is the outside bearing area. Now when you tighten it the steel washer will grip better on the steel yoke, and things are more stable without a lot of torque. Keeping the brass shim in the stack maintains the clearances.
Note that there are little dimples on the brass shim that fit into holes on the steel washer, so you have to get everything lined up correctly. But once you get it together you should find it a lot less slippery.

Well made, mostly sturdy, and an amazing price. I am using it to hold an older (heavier) 22" CCFL LCD in portrait mode. Once I got everything positioned like I wanted it and tightened it down, it held in place perfectly for several weeks. Then I decided to make a slight adjustment, and after that it wanted to drift downwards (no doubt exacerbated by the portrait orientation). This was frustrating and I had to loosen up and re-do the whole thing to get it properly positioned and locked in place again. It's been holding well again for past several weeks, but I'm afraid to make any more adjustments. This probably wouldn't be a problem in landscape mode.

All this said, I am thinking about buying a second one for use in landscape mode.

Be ware, there are several similar designs on Amazon that appear almost identical. I looked at the differences carefully (can't remember what all they were), but decided for the money I like this design best.

The arm is tightened by a small lever that turns. If it is close to the wall, you do not have the space, at least the way mine was assembled. BUT, the reason I am returning it is that the arm bolt that allows it to move left/right is already so tight, I cannot loosen it AND it is not 'locked' in place. If you can't tighten anymore, then this will move and I do not want that. I do not know if this is defective or that is the way it is. For this reason I am returning it. I have two others that I use and they are all better and easier to adjust all the hex bolt for up/down, left/right movement.

Have 3 of these in my office/home recording studio. 2 are supporting monitors (1 of which is a 36" ultra-wide!) and the other is fitted with a laptop platform and serves an elevated stomp box platform. I made sure to snug up the connection to the pole and the connection to the Vesa plates and have had no problem with drift or sag even on the largest monitor or with vigorous hand smacks to the stomp boxes.
Currently thinking about adding 1 or 2 more to hold a small Midi keyboard and and my headphone amps so that they can be swung out of the way when not in use.
I have and will continue to recommended these to other small home recording studios where space and flexibility are critical.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite decent for the price-point

I recently purchased more than one of these mounting arms, and I am generally more than satisfied with them. For my needs the range of motion and positioning are quite adequate.

It should be noted that raising and lowering the height of the monitor must be done with the main support, and that means loosening the bolt and re-tightening it. So, height adjustment is not quick, nor is is something the user might want to do with any frequency.

That said, the other adjusting options (tilt, rotate, swivel) are all quickly managed.

One of my mounts did have a hinge issue.

The hinge closest to the bracket was MUCH too loose. The monitor swiveled down and hung facing the ground. This is apparently a known issue.

I doubt the monitor itself would affect this much unless it is extremely heavy. I have more than one of these mounts, holding 2 x 22-inch monitors, a 1 x 14-inch monitor and a 1 x 27-inch monitor. The 14-inch monitor and the 22-inch monitors are physically heavier than the 27-inch one, by a fair margin. But the 27-inch monitor is the one that had the hanging problem. When I examined it the hinge was loose at the bolt, and as a result the other monitors (smaller) likely would have sagged forward the same way.

Fortunately it was not the first one I assembled, or I might have been disgruntled enough to return them. Instead, as I knew from previous assembly that this was not normal, I looked for a solution.

To access the hinge bolt, pop off the plastic caps.

I tightened the hinge. I do not know if it will last, but as I do not move that monitor very much it may not be a major factor. I did notice that there was almost no play to tighten it, though, which bespeaks a manufacturing issue. I'll have to consider what to do with it if this becomes a problem. Super-glue, while tempting ( :-) ) isn't a very sensible solution.

If one of the smaller monitors were lighter, I'd switch them to see if it helped, but as the 27-inch one is actually the lightest of the four I don't think that exercise would accomplish much.

I do have one observation that has nothing to do with the product or the seller. In this case the seller was ValuMax CA -- which gives the distinct impression that it is a Canadian company. It is not. It is a company based in California (which also happens to use CA as an abbreviation).

The items were shipped very quickly (less than six hours) by the seller, and came via FedEx International Ground service. There was nothing wrong with that, and I was lucky in that there ended up being no border charges/brokerage issues. However, if it had been made clear the seller was not in Canada I might have considered not purchasing.

This is a problem with Amazon and how the seller is listed, not with the seller or with the product. I will bring this to the attention of Amazon (Canada), although I do not know if they'll address it. It should be made very clear, especially in potentially ambiguous situations like this one, where the seller is located.

Phenomenal quality- Seriously no point looking anywhere else. I've used $100+ arms that are lower quality than this one. Absolutely worth every penny. Holds my 34" LG 34UM67-P Ultrawide monitor with no issue. However, something to note; when using a 34" ultrawide monitor it is NOT possible to rotate the display 90 degrees. The mount is not high enough to be able to give the panel the necessary room to make the rotation.

I've been waiting a while to upgrade to a desk monitor mount like this and it's been the best purchase so far this year.

When you open the box you immediately can tell by looking at it that it says quality. And when you pick it up you are assured of it! Very strong, very heavy duty square tube (on extension arm) and very substantial center pole. It's heavy in your hands.

I picked this one over other that looked like it for 4 reasons. 1. The price was cheaper. 2. Square tube design. 3. The clamp is not one but two eye-ring bolts and are all metal where as others were a one piece plastic knob. 4. To adjust the height you have a built in handle to tighten or loosen whereas others you have to keep an Allen key handy.

Yet another reason (so make it 5) was that on the other similar looking product the reviewers complained that on thin desks (less than 1") you had to ad a piece of filler wood as the clamps would not tighten far enough. Not on this unit because it has an adjustable back plate with three settings. I have a thin desk top at 3/4 inch I'm not even close to the end of the threads! Great design.

I believe the product description says it will extend to around 16-18". Because the unit mounts recessed in at about 2" and my monitor depth is about 2" I can extend mine to a full 24" or 2 feet. Much further then the specs say and a nice surprise.

If it's not clear in the description this mount will adjust in every possible way. Pan, tilt, angle, rotate (horizontal or vertical) up down.

Note: You will likely have to tighten and loosen some of the joints. Out of the box some where too stiff and other too loose. They give you the tools in the box and it's easy to do. You have to pull off one side of the plastic caps to expose an nut. Then you take the included wrench and tighten or loosen as needed. You will have to tighten the angle nut the most or the monitor will nod down like it's sad, but after you tighen that it's great.

I have a 27" Acer mounted that is around 10 pounds. I bought a 32" TV to try and use as a monitor as a test and the TV had 100mm VESA holes so I mounted it. The TV weighed more then the monitor but the mount worked great on it even though it was past it's weight capacity. Like I said this thing is built like a tank.

You can't change the height on the fly but it takes 5 seconds to do it. Once the height is set I don't know why you'd have to change that anyway. The mount will do 100 and 75mm mounts.

Not having a base on my small desk anymore has given me so much more room for my speaker and desk junk. It's a treat to lean back a watch a flick and just pull the monitor closer or change the angle at will.

I hope my review helps someone. I don't see how you could be disappointed with this product.
