Thanks that tells me what I wanted to know. I looks like if I want that feature, I'm going to have to move up to a higher end camera.

I can confirm the D7500 does show the histogram while in live view past pressing the info button.

When using live view on my D7500, it does reflect the change of settings. The exposure changes on the screen when I adjust shutter, discontinuity or ISO. I used this the other solar day while taking video of my daughter playing basketball in a poorly lit gym. But the histogram does show upwardly in live view for photos and too video equally a double check.

I didn't picket the video however, simply it looks like my d7200 has it just in movie way. I thought d800 series was the but ones that had it.
I must have a really proficient photographic camera.

The D5600 has the histogram feature but merely in "playback", which doesn't help before you take the shot
